Astonished at this behaviour, for which she was wholly unable to account, she continuedfor a few Moments motionleſs on the seat where he had left her, and was then on the point of following him up the narrowwalk through which he had paſsed, when on looking up the one that lay immediatelybefore the arbour, she saw her Aunt walking towards her with more than her usual quick::neſs.
